der8auer got the original 5090 card from the reddit melting cable post, then demonstrated that two of the six 12V power connector cables are having 20ish amps running through them and overheating, while the other 4 cables are not.

flashback to when I used magnet wire (0.3mm) to fix a thing that had a couple amps running thru it

der8auer has both the redditors device, and his own FE where he replicates the issues. Thats two of these very rare devices displaying the same 150C problem.

It's coincidence until the result set includes more than one influencer's at-home testing.

Not impossible that it is a coincidence but the probability that it is just fell way lower.

If the probability that it a 5090 experiences this issue is 1%, then the probaility that both devices fail is 0.01%. Not impossible, but very unlikely.

"At-home testing" and "influencer" seems like you try to play the role of Der8auer down. He is not just a Gamer who reviews some Hardware. There are probably around 100 5090s in Germany, Der8auer has 2 of this in the Video. This means at least 2% of all existing 5090s in Germany have this.

I remembered wrong. Here they say that 91 5090 FE Cards were shipped... Worldwide
