The zombie apocalypse might become reality, only it's the oligarchs in the compounds, and the starving masses swarming to get in.
Zombie movies were always a metaphor for that, or alternatively the "overpopulated masses of the global south swarming the developed west". Both is equally cynical and says a lot about popular culture in the US 🤷
Indeed, I have said for years the proliferation of such media with the only message being "humans are the real monsters" and telling people they need to be ready to shoot to kill friends and neighbors isn't really healthy for the social fabric of society.
Guess I'll just die then.
