Rules

AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).

Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.

Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.

Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.

Hi! I can't draw to save my life, but since I discovered colouring books (I didn't know they had them for adults, and especially I didn't know they made non-mandala ones!!!!) I've been feeling like a kid again.

I'm even using the same coloured pencils I bought and carried around since primary school.

I used Staedler Pencil Noris Colours and Royal Talens colour pencils, both packs of 24 colours.

So my message to any person that itches to create something but feels that it's a huge task (I got overwhelmed drawing), please do give colouring books a chance.

You can get nice colours for little money (I paid 7€ for the Royal Talens pack) and the books themselves aren't particularly expensive, especially if you are slooooow colouring like I am.

Don't be afraid to try something new, and don't let your age stop you from choosing cute books with huge drawings. Paint rainbows, colour flowers, take your time drawing sunglasses on the sun!!!

You did a really nice job on this. The pastries look delicious! And I appreciate your message about adults enjoying coloring books. I hadn't ever considered trying one, but looking at this page is encouraging.

Thank you! I always had the feeling that colouring books not only were silly and for children, they also meant that my art was fake, because I hadn't done the drawing myself.

I've never been happier to be wrong :)
