This community is the place to discuss and ask questions about anime, anime news, and related topics.

Currently airing show discussion threads are created by our resident bot, [email protected]. If it doesn't make a thread for an episode that you want to discuss, see the user guide on the wiki for instructions on how to ask rikka to make a thread for you to use.

@[email protected] I will create weekly discussion of Anime Episode. So, can you turn off bot to post discussion here? Thanks

I know this is what I have done for previous shows that have had a dedicated community, but I don't really want to change things mid-run like this.

Also, I have been debating just allowing discussion threads in both communities for cases like this going forward after some feedback from other users I have gotten. The activity that @[email protected] has had in [email protected] for Daima threads has been heartening to see even as rikka continued to make threads in the main anime community.

What I will do is try to finish a new feature for rikka that I started working on where she can link to related communities in the post that she makes. It will be a section in her post that looks like this:

Related Communities

I probably won't finish before tomorrow's episode (I'll edit it into the post), but can probably finish it before next week.

Yeah, please allow both communities. I personally don't like joining communities just for 1 IP

Was I not supposed to keep it going in both? I figured one would lead to the other and people would go where they wanted. Personally I tried to mirror my comments in both threads

Totally fine! It was actually super helpful for me to see how it went. Here is the context:

In the past, when there has been a dedicated community for a series ([email protected], [email protected], [email protected]), I have prevented the bot from making discussion threads in [email protected], instead directing everybody over to that community for discussion threads. The motivation was to try to direct the relatively larger user base for the anime community to help the smaller communities grow.

Seeing how you were able to keep discussions going in [email protected] despite me not blocking the bot from making posts provided a valuable data point that the posts in the anime community weren't stifling the discussion happening elsewhere.

So, thanks!

Oh, well, glad I could help! I meant to get around to self hosting the bot, but I've been lazy

OK no problem. I just thought two discussion for same episode is wierd. That's all. I am also ok with that.

Cool, feel free to also shout out the community in the discussion threads here. That is totally fine!

One thing this does is it allows for spoilery, source-reader discussion in the dedicated community if that is something you want to allow.

Yea, I am thinking making community for Light Novel reader.
