That part of the metaphor is the Cambridge Analytica / Brexit undercurrent of the demented rapist's rise.
I think it originally was meant to be a social commentary on the State of the German Bundeswehr and Austrian Army.
Now trust me on this guys, I'm an aerospace engineer. The issue here, was the plane didn't have enough camouflage paint.

That's a common misunderstanding. Most issues in aerospace come down to camouflage paint jobs and how cool they look.
