I want to be an astronaut on a generational ship headed to a different galaxy. It's the journey, not the destination. IDGAF if there's no planet waiting for me, or if I even get there. I just wanna be in spaaaaaaaaace!
I would also like to have the opportunity to be in space.
That said, I once asked my dad if he would go to space if it were affordable and available. He responded that he could go anywhere in the world now, some even affordably, and did not do so.
It was a perspective I had not previously considered.
I’ll go mine asteroids, so long as I get to pilot a robot in space.
