Woah, excellent find, this is some fist pumping shit. It's VERY much inspired by Lair, (it's not even subtle) but they went in a more crusty direction and I kinda love that.
Thrash Metal
Place to post and discuss THRASH METAL!
RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted). While we understand it is subjective, if a moderator believes a song to stray too far from thrash, it will likely be locked. Please do not take this personally. Repeat offenders may see posts removed.
- Please search before posting a song, do not repeat posts.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters.
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
- But most of all have fun XD.

My secret to finding all this different stuff is mainly the "Similar Artists" tab on each band's metal archives page, click each one and find out which are on streaming services and go on a little excursion lol. There have been many nights where I go down these rabbit holes for hours at a time, mining for diamonds. Not every search yields stuff presentable in my opinion, but that is how I found the sludge/thrash mix that I've been posting recently and it turns out it's some of my favorite stuff now.
The similarities between LotM and this band are rather apparent upon doing a little more research - LotM and RfD both had members in the instrumental post-rock band Pelican so I imagine they definitely influenced each other.
