Yup I would also expected this to be honest.
Ok but when was the last time you turned your phone off? Even reboots are few and far between
Weekly reboot is recommended to knock off some memory recident nasties and trackers and clean up memory.
Any references for that? First I hear of it.
Not that I don't believe you, but I'd like to read up about it. I basically never reboot my phone, never had issues.
I remember seeing a lot of reporting referring to an NSA best practices guide recommending to reboot your phone weekly. They do not really go into much detail though. Either way, it definitely does not hurt to reboot.
Here is one of the articles that I found: https://www.forbes.com/sites/daveywinder/2024/06/01/nsa-warns-iphone--android-users-to-turn-it-off-and-on-again/
GrapheneOS reboots often for updates and security against cold boot storage attacks.
But always at night, so boot time isn't too relevant.
I rebooted mine yesterday for a security update.
About every 3 days or it gets wonky.
Newly setup too, about 2 months ago, Android 13
That would be nice. My S23 boots up slower than my old S8 ever did.
