Currently resisting the spring cleaning urge! The grass in the front yard is starting to grow, so it won't be too much longer.
The first on my list is thinning out the orange coneflower to make beds in the backyard. The second is grouping up the late boneset that sprouted in random places.
Building a greenhouse, new pollinator garden, covering paths, walkable thyme, allowing the vunteer moss to flourish. Maybe a pond.
I've started planting veggies and herbs in my raised garden beds. Soon, more wildflowers for the bees. I'll be getting my yearly mason bees in a few days.
I'm on my 4th year with my pollinator garden (Colorado), and the goal from here is filling in every square inch of uncovered earth with ground cover and spreading plants. I love Western Sunflower for that purpose, and I've been trying unsuccessfully to get Violets established (I know, right? They're considered a weed in most places) so I'm going to give that another go.
Trying out Blue Flax, Wild Strawberry, Lanceleaf Coreopsis, Wild Garlic, Wild Geranium, and Wild Phlox this year as well. Learned about Figwort's amazing pollinator benefits last year, so going to plant out more of that in the side yard!
I love Wild Geranium! The leaves just started emerging here in the Mid-Atlantic (with some violets waking up in the periphery):
After planting these last spring, I found Carolina Geranium growing in a sidewalk crack a few feet away ๐

I'm gonna till up a large swath of partial sun yard and sow it to native flowers and grasses
Sowing wildflower seeds for a meadow. ๐ธ The goal is for that to replace the old lousy dried up lawn.
