About fucking time some more sanctions started happening

This is discrimination, the people of Israel are not their government. You wouldn't punish Russians for Putin's actions. And it will definitely not help a single Palestinian.

Except... We are punishing Russians? That's half the point of sanctions, causing economic pain to the people in order to (hopefully) compel the government of said people to play nice.

Then fucking do something against your government.

Btw, Russia has been dealing with sanctions for a long time now. Meanwhile Israel seems to be getting away with genocide without a scratch. Even the ICC's arrest warrant for Bibi is being ignored by a lot of countries.

This is a form of pressure.

Take for example the apartheid in South Africa. The rugby team was not able to participate in some of the world cups. While not the key action that ended apartheid, it did pressure the Government in some way. Not player's fault, not the spectators fault, not the world cup organization team fault, yet they all got punished in some way.

Have you seen Israeli polling? On top of that, this is an elected government. The people by and large are raging fascists.

And yeah, sorry, stop the genocide and Israelis can get treated like normal again. It's that simple.

Yeah like you give a shit about Palestinians. Them being genocided and living under apartheid colonization, it would be a bad joke to call that just discrimination. Of course it’s right to put pressure on the people doing that to the PalestiniansY

And the people of the USA are not the US government and yet I'm boycotting all US products. I feel really bad about it sometimes because some US products I'm no longer buying come from small, ethical (on paper at least) employee owned companies. But as someone who is not in the US, this is the only action I can take in response to the US government.

If people from Israel would like to holiday in the Maldives then they have a bit of work to do. Step 1 is to overthrow their fascist government.

You could make targeted exceptions given the US companies that are particularly ethical, especially given how much larger and more stuff you might get from the US.

That said, I totally get it. I want this country to crumble sooner rather than later so it can get the boot off the necks of third world nations and we generally deserve it. Good on you.

We did punish Russians for putin's actions. Anyone keeping silent is a tacit accomplice

It is a war.

Israelis are largely supportive of the genocide. Watch an interview with people on the streets of Tel Aviv.

Besides, they are collectively punishing and genociding all Palestinians, calling even newborn babies “Hamas”.

Most of them will just use their other passport anyway. If they don’t want to be associated with genocide they should do everything they can to denounce the genocidal state of Israel, leave and never return to the Palestinian lands they’re occupying and genociding the native population on.

I enthusiastically support punishing Russians in every way, shape and form.
