In fairness, the show realllllly speeds up events. Or at least doesn't do a great job showing just how much time is passing. I get not wanting to explain as a writer because the targets they are traveling to are always moving so the same trip from body to body could take drastically different times and having to explain how much time has passed also means explaining that.

Oh, yeah, and on top of that, a LOT happened since that was the biggest thing they had to worry about. I just thought it was funny it was basically the tagline for season 1 and as of season 6, it's a distant memory.
Yep, rereading the books now, and the trip to Ilus is 18 months.
Space is too damn big.
I'm about to (re) start the books. Read the first two and then half of the third before giving into temptation to watch the series. Probably going to just start back over at the first.
