Oh please please please break up at least one of these giant behemoths.
I worked for a contractor for google maps for a bit and the dysfunction and inability of that company to execute large projects was appalling.
Everything was being slashed and cut and they treated their highly skilled maps operators as disposable, untrained labor (which is why the quality of information on google maps has tanked).
Google desperately needs to be broken up.
This government is apparently the one pushing for this more. I find it hard to believe too, but maybe one of the C-suite pissed off Trump.
I don't believe for a second that Google will have to sell Chrome. Nor do I believe it would happen quickly. I believe even less that it won't be sold to another big tech company.
Huzzah! Here's hoping it goes from being in danger to being actually broken!
Ayo? May we get some real YouTube competition? Would probably wreak havoc in the short term though.
