Sure. And they'll get paid by the person who chooses to buy it to release it, or by the library.

Dude, I practice opsec crossing county lines sometimes, what's your excuse? This is how it's always been, you all are just realizing how a dude from Queens and Jersey sees the world. That's all that dumbass is. He's no better than his roots.

So that everyone can experience it mostly. Potentially, yes, they could profit from it too, possibly, yes.

I just want to make it clear, I am a hobby writer who regularly releases my work PD.

I thought that was basic opsec. Burner phone with a week of use, paid in cash on you. Real phone (if you need it) in a bag, battery removed and separate by any means. That's not just crossing borders, that's anything longer than a city bus.

I was friends with one of the main branch of the Myiang family, one of the first Burmese families to take a Western last name. I also know that Burmese pythons aren't as scary as some people make them out to be. And that 'Crab Rangoon' has nothing to do with Yangon.

Oh, and that there's been a violent coup d'etat since about 3 years ago, and an oppressive, bloody genocide of the Rohingya population in the Rakhine state, which has been ongoing and unchecked through 2017. Cities have been destroyed, families have been murdered, and the world looks on without giving half a damn.

Damn you, why did you have to make me think of DF again?

I mean, he was imprisoned for genetic experimentation on babies without informing the parents or basically anyone else. So... I don't think he means that in a specific way. He wants to do whatever he feels like without oversight.

It's not about "agency", exactly. It's the fact that once you offer labor for money, it's only logical to offer labor in the way that brings in the most money. That allows bad actors to influence what labor is performed by way of payment. It could lead to dependence on those bad actors and projects getting torpedoed that could be beneficial to the masses.

Their leverage is their value to the company. If you're not capable of providing more than minimum value for your employer, then why should you work for that company? Find a company you can do more for.
