I got in trouble with the mods of a game I play (FarmRPG) for asking basic questions about how the block function works, after learning a player I had never interacted with blocked me. I was trying to discern whether I should block them back (I’ve ultimately determined the answer is yes so I don’t keep seeing their posts and potentially trying to respond to their help requests when they can’t even see my reply).
Apparently just asking about the functionality in open chat instead of directly messaging an individual mod with my questions amounted to harassment of the player who blocked me, because they might see other players talking about the block function too and think I’m targeting them or something….
So now I’ve been accused of harassing a player I’ve literally never interacted with before simply because my natural curiosity and need to understand how things work apparently offends other people. Not specifically autism related but kinda tangentially I guess lol. So that’s fun!
Besides that I’d been spending the whole month cooking a meal that’s only available in April to be able to have a back stock to hand out all year. Now I’m just not quite as excited about it though.
Sorry to hear about your cancelled D&D game. I DMed a campaign for 3 years so I know how frustrating it is when scheduling conflicts arise. As the host I always tried to be available and never the reason a session had to be cancelled.
