Nothing Rowling has said should even be remotely controversial.

What an obvious flat out lie. I snorted when I reached that line. I can’t understand how the author could include bullshit like that. Doesn’t pass even the most casual smell-test.

Here’s an article that Vox keeps having to update to ensure everybody can track Rowling’s detailed history of transphobia. Rowling is transphobic, that’s a fact.

If he doesn't find any of this objectionable then you know exactly were he stands.

To be clear, that's not a quote from Lithgow. It's a quote from the author of the article. This is what Lithgow said:

Shortly after he picked up the role, Lithgow received a letter from the mother of a trans-identifying child, titled "An Open Letter to John Lithgow: Please Walk Away from Harry Potter."

"That was the canary in the coal mine," Lithgow said. "I thought, ‘Why is this a factor at all?’ I wonder how J.K. Rowling has absorbed it. I suppose at a certain point I’ll meet her, and I’m curious to talk to her."

When asked if the backlash made him consider ditching the role, though, Lithgow said, "Oh, heavens no."

John Lithgow is 79 years old, an A-list actor, and still being offered leading roles in major films. I don't think he's afraid of being canceled.

Well I think it helps that the Harry Potter franchise doesn't echo the values of JK Rowling that leftists find so loathsome. Even non-alisters are attached to this project.

You don’t have to be far left to know that hating trans people is wrong.
