Well done everyone!

Yeah but this is the same guy that likes to repeat Russian propaganda, so maybe we can find someone more reputable.

Ben and Jerry’s, the only American brand I still knowingly buy ! Vegan ice cream is the best 🍨

One of the few big companies that seems to have some morals (Ben & Jerry's, not Unilever).

They even sued Unilever last year because Unilever silenced them expressing support for Palestinian refugees.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago

The best part about this is that Unilever basically just bought the brand name. Ben & Jerry's is a perfectly good ice cream, but it's not like there's some amazing manufacturing knowledge that Ben & Jerry's has that no other ice cream manufacturer could match. What they are is a popular brand with well known political leanings and, with fun popular flavours.

If Unilever ever forces them out over too much activism, it would be easy for them to start up a new Ice Cream company and bring all their old customers over. So, Unilever basically has to just accept this activism or lose their customers.

Emphasis on some. They are also unfortunately pro-Russia tankies.

I'm interested in seeing your proof of that.

Bunch of links here - https://www.reddit.com/r/vermont/comments/11wlmkn/fyi_ben_cohen_ben_and_jerrys_is_donating_a/

Basically Ukraine should just "negotiate and end to the war" instead of fight for survival in their opinion.

The links ...

The People Power Initiative - a Gmail account and physical address is the only info there. No menu or other links.

Eisenhower Media Network is a mess, bouncing from calls for peace to just short of supporting Russia.

Being anti war is not being anti Ukraine or pro Russia for that matter.

"suggesting that NATO expansion was one of the causes of the war"

“We gave Putin just cause,”

Those are definitely Russian propaganda talking points.

This is how they get us. Infiltrate the groups that we already agree with, like pro-Palestine, anti-Israel, then flood those communities with "...and also we should all hate NATO!", and people like this guy can't tell the difference.

The EMN project promotes a group of U.S. military veterans as experts and pundits willing to talk about the war in Ukraine. Some of them have been echoing Kremlin propaganda lines by claiming that U.S. military support for Ukraine is extending and intensifying the fighting, and suggesting that NATO expansion was one of the causes of the war. “We gave Putin just cause,” the director of EMN, Dennis Fritz, told The Daily Beast in an interview.

This is not "anti-war" this is a "why are you hitting yourself" way of looking at things. Ukraine is a sovereign country that can make its own decisions. Supporting their fight against the invasion is not warmongering, it's the opposite. After all, it is just the latest in Putin's long list of wars, and if it does not stop at Ukraine, he will start more wars.

On .world, any point of view that contradicts mainstream American talking points is immediately a tankie point of view. It’s to the point of self-parody by now, but these morons actually think they’re defenders of democracy and justice or some shit.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

While that can definitely be true, it's not the case in this instance, they actually did say Russia was justified and that Ukraine joining NATO provoked the war.

Almost all wars end in negotiations. It's not on us to decide which terms are acceptable to Ukrainians.

Pretty sure Ben doesn't have ownership or control over Ben and Jerry's anymore, so I wouldn't put his baggage on them.
