~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

Afaik, shatner is a transphobe. So this is ABSOLUTELY not geared at me.
Or actually lots of people now, including cis and non queer people. So it's quite shatty of him.
I have to ask. What does this post have to do with what you're talking about? He may or may not be a transphobe (idk), but this has nothing to do with it, does it? It applies to everyone regardless of their gender identity...
Transphobes don't want queer people ~~in~~ anywhere ~~bathrooms~~ ~~public~~.
Seriously though, if you don't understand, it's because there are now bathroom bans in the USA ~~statewide~~ (19 states I think) that criminalize trans people from using public restrooms. (This has also emboldened bigots EVERYWHERE into assaulting people for no good reason)
Some have also made it so that's a sex crime. And also added that if you use the bathroom like this and there is a minor present, it's a sex crime against a minor. They ALSO made it so that sex crimes against minors can be punishable by death, and have solidified the death penalty.
This is not new news, though. We've since progressed as a country to the point that ICE now just disappears innocent people who are grassroots political enemies, such as college students.
So, a transphobe who hates trans people likely does NOT want me going in any restroom, contrary to what the sign says here. And so to me, is an insult that he dares make a joke like this with his face on it, smiling like that.
I was caught in an expo hall bathroom with him last year. Somebody came in ahead and yelled at me to leave him alone before he came scooter'ing into the restroom lol
