“You have to want to be better”.

Q: How many psychologists does it take to change a light globe?
A: Only one, but the light globe has to want to change.

Do other countries call it a light globe? I've only ever heard light bulb.

Either works in Australian English. Don’t know about the rest of the world.

I wish that sunlight and exercise was bullshit and didn't help at all but it does. It really does.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

One can do that AND something else.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, absolutely. In facr, I'd say one would have to do that and something else.

"Just eat broccoli if that's what you like" (like, only broccoli) "Try mindfulness" I did and it dragged me down "Press charges" for something awful but legal

"have you prayed about that?"

Financial advice from old men who should spend more time minding their own business and less time giving advice when it was never asked.

If I listened to them, I'd end up a miserable old man giving advice that no one asked to hear.

“Philippians 4:6-7 says…”

My jaw would have hit the floor if they said that to me

I have a pointless advice to give: the problem is that you're thinking it instead of doing it. You think you want to, you think you should, you think it's the correct action, but the thinking part is all you do. There's nothing anyone can say that will change you until you stop thinking and start doing.

So just

Not great advice for certain thinkings which should not be done XD

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

Well, it is a pointless advice after all.

I was told I didn't need medication for my bipolar disorder, all I needed was to follow a Keto diet.

I did try keto during one of my manic episodes once. Ended up talking to God. I'm an atheist.

A doctor told me my neuropathy was all in my head. I wish I was quicker I would have said which one.

Know what I like about here, I just remembered not missing from the R place? Not seeing every legitimate gripe responded to by an edge lord with something about "touching grass bruuhhhh"

And it'll take exactly 0.2 seconds before I strangle them with that shirt.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I'd be asking if they'd like a glass of water and a ride home after I'm cured.

...well have you?
