Bill Clinton’s last-minute endorsement of Andrew Cuomo in New York City’s mayoral race is all too fitting: both men represent the corporate Democratic establishment, opposed by socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani, that has abandoned the working class.

It’s simple, the Democratic Party does not support candidates that don’t adhere to the Democratic Party platform. They don’t support independents. They don’t support “democratic socialists.”

It’s people still expecting them to change their platform after all this time that is surprising.

George Washington said parties would ruin the any chance at democracy the union had and he was right.

True, but here we are. Cuomo conceded already, the race wasn't even close

The Democrats stand for nothing. They're weak. The people are angry.

We can tea party them. The plan is working

The tea party was funded by the Koch brothers, we don’t have those on the left.

We shouldn’t need it though. We have real numbers, but we probably should have a version of Leonard Leo getting non-insane judges into power.

Same for Clyburn...

Anybody still in office that legitimately thinks Cuomo is a good choice, needs to be ran out of the party.

Either their values are incompatible with the Dem voters base's values...

Or rather thru stroke or age related mental decline, just not "all there" anymore

But everyone endorsing Cuomo were the ones arguing we had to stay with Biden.

We can't just keep listening to them when they've been consistently wrong for decades.

I know the libs still love war criminals like Obama because at least he's not a creepy old pervert. So, his endorsement would definitely be useful.

But, who is this for? I feel like anyone that still respects the Clintons was likely already ranking Cuomo above Zohran.

I'm not from New York and I'm under the age of 65. So maybe I'm out of touch. I just don't know who gets swayed by an old sex pervert endorsing another old sex pervert.

They're still generations of democrats for whom Clinton is royalty. It's fucking embarrassing. It's sad. But it's true.

For sure. I guess results tonight make things mute. Yay! But I guess my point was that the ven diagram of people that both think Clinton is royalty AND think Zohran is a scary Muslim they'd never vote for is a circle.
