They lost me when they introduced so many new city characters in one episode and it became too much about teen romance and rebellion. I think this was start of second season.
Oh, when eleven runs away to the city? It gets even better: none of that shit comes back up again.
But it absolutely does keep leaning into teen romance. I always felt it was a decent show but overrated, and it dropped off hard.
Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones
Couldn’t get past a season and the fandoms are just obnoxious.
It feels like all the breaking bad characters were designed to be the heel. I couldn't stand any of them, and if I can't stand any of the characters, why would i bother continuing watching the show?
Firefly. Amatuerish acting and plots that barely reached "Atomic Rifle" levels of sophistication don't really sit well with me.
Altered Carbon. I couldn't get past the first episode. I love sci-fi but this just feels pretentious.
Arrested development and it's always sunny.
I really don't care for cringe humor where everyone is an idiot.
Game of Thrones.
The incest didn't bother me, but pushing a child out a window hit the wrong note with me and my wife.
Lost.
god help me it was so fucking boring and riddled with holes. I still don't understand how it was so popular.
The Sopranos
Same! I gave it way more time than it deserved because so many people raved about the show. For me, it was like a snail-paced soap opera about the least likeable people in the world.
Firefly. I thought I could stomach sci-fi but I find it unwatchable for personal reasons. I wish I could but it's not for me.
Game of Thrones. I stopped watching when Aquaman raped the blonde.
Then I started reading the books. the rape scene was written slightly different, so...whatever. Then I got to the part where the brother/sister threw the boy out the window. Done. Violence against kids is my line.
GOT
It gets so boring and does nothing for you to care about the starks
It gets so boring
It starts so boring. I barely made it through the first season and some of the second. It was sooooooo fucking dull that I gave up on it around the time what's his name dies in the desert.
Buffy.
It was just a big sloppy plateful of Beverly Hills, 90210 with a small side salad of weird shit.
The Mandalorian.
Succession.
I love the Mandalorian, but the people on succession were all just so horrible that I couldn’t stomach watching it anymore. I didn’t wanna be around thoseawful awful people.
