Y'know, part of the joke is that mules can't have babies but now that I think of it, even if the donkey was a horse we still wouldn't know if the resulting hybrid would be fertile. Or even a pegasus and a unicorn.

Oh shit and now I'm thinking of a centaur and a unicorn and now I'm going to hell. Damn.
