You know how back in the day, the barber was also the doctor? Back in the day, the witches had to do witch things, and also release all that year’s sick beats and bars.
I’ve been thinking about this recently while playing Hades 2. I bet it’s a memory thing. Much easier to remember your potion recipe if it’s rhymes and has a good meter. “Newt’s eye” works fine in a list, but “Eye of Newt” scans better in a given situation, for example.
