I figured out one of the unconscious things I had against him: the headband. Too many bad memories of Gervinho and his ability to miss every shot he took. Not really encouraging that Madueke also has a record of taking lots of shots and scoring very few goals.
But, maybe he'll succeed and the memory of black headbands will become a good one.
Next we'll have to address the association of snoods and Samir Nasri.
Apparently in the pile of photos that the club put on Getty for Madueke was a photo for Mosquera's interview lol.
Let's hope he smashes it in the red and white, and is remembered as an Arsenal hero who just happened to play for Chelsea for a short time.
I'm not bothered by the fact that the biggest club in England is where "Chelsea rejects" end up. It's not our problem they're hoarding so much young talent and don't know how to make use of it
I'm really happy to have this done. I've been screaming out for Saka backup and now we have it. No more starting him in stupid games and wondering why he's tired and unable to beat a man when we need him to.
It feels like an upgrade to Trossard, ngl, with his versatility. My question is why are we upgrading Trossard but still keeping Trossard and not then selling Trossard and buying a LW instead lol.
From everything that's been revealed, it's very much a right wing depth signing. No doubt he'd take minutes from Trossard if both stay, but the club have been clear he's been brought in as backup to Saka.
Yeah, I know, I mean more like we could put Trossard to the right and then sign our LW target. And it feels like Madueke is just an upgrade on that possibility, but now with Trossard still here we don't have room for a LW
