I once heard years ago that it saves data when you delete, but not when you edit. So the trick was editing all your posts empty, then deleting.

“Their data” what a bunch of bullshit. This proves that they're getting hit by the people who actually left and the big subs that went dark. Hopefully people take this as a warning and stay off The Hard R.
It's not really surprising since lots of social media sites retain data. It's just "marked" as deleted. Pretty big dick move, though.
