General posting suggestions:

Preface the submission with the type of enhancement - ex: [UserScript].
Include a screenshot of the enhancement in use (where possible)
Indicate the requirements for use (eg, greasemonkey, stylus, etc.)

Change Lemmy Default Comment Sort (pastebin.com)

Currently, Lemmy sorts the comments by Hot, and there is no way to change this. This scripts changes the default behavior to sort by Top, this default can be changed by editing the defaultSort variable in the code.

Hi, thanks for the script... but it doesn't seem to work for me. It changes the option to "Top", but the comment's order doesn't changes.

Same for me, using it on lemmy.world right now which is on UI: 0.18.2 BE: 0.18.2-1-g68276b2f9, and not only does it not sort, but it prevents me from upvoting posts. Going to disable it for now, but I would really like this feature. In the meantime I'm using https://mlmym.org or http://old.lemmy.world/ which has a comment sorting option in the settings.

Yes you can on lemmy-ui. Go to setting and you can find the related sort options. It actually saves those setting in your account.

I can see options to change the theme, type, sort type (for posts) and show NSFW content, but there are no options to change the sort type for comments as this script does.
