Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Fucking dig into him until he rage quits the interview, then show that on the news. Stop asking soft questions and letting them get away with lies. Reporters these days are becoming as guilty as the media themselves allowing these assholes to lie constantly and not calling them out immediately. Make them squirm and be accountable!

[–] [email protected] 29 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If the actual courts won't convict him then every man woman and child has to see him as a feckless liar, a pathetic toady that will say anything to get what he wants. He should never have peace outside of his house if he wants to act like this

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

Never a single moment.

Journalism is dead and capitalism killed it

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago

Reporters are the media

"The people who make up the media are as guilty as the media" lolwut

Or better yet - don't interview him at all. Do an exposé piece on him that details everything and run it primarily in his district if you want to actually affect change.

The fact that he's being interviewed only adds to his credibility, and no matter what happens here, people are going to think he's just misunderstood, since "He'd be in jail if this were all true, right?"

He should be.

I never said I was Jewish, I said I was “Jew-ish”

Wow

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago

Jewy and menschish did not poll well with the audiences.

"Of course my grandparents survived the Holocaust! My grandfather was one of the most decorated officers in the S... uh, next question?"

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 years ago

"My grandfather died in a concentration camp! He fell off the watchtower!"

[–] [email protected] 22 points 2 years ago (1 children)

"my grandfather was a war hero. He killed 20 men, then spent the rest of the war in an allied prison camp"

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 years ago (2 children)

"My grandad was responsible for 28 downed German planes in WW2.

Still to this day holds the record as the worst mechanic the Luftwaffe ever had."

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I gotta give it to you. I think this is the best one.
😂😂😂

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

"My grandfather destroyed an entire Nazi ammunition and explosives dump in WW2.

And that was the last time they ever let him smoke on duty."

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago

"He managed to escape in the company car, a Mercedes-Benz 770"

Same old fascist playbook: Claim that you have unassailable evidence that you're going to throw down "soon."

My girlfriend lives in Canada, you wouldn't know her.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago

That's the same tactic of Christian Fundigelical Apologists, too. It's no wonder they're bedfellows.

[–] [email protected] 36 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Well, not THEE Holocaust that everyone knows about. I’m talking about our own Holocaust, when we fled due to bedbugs…

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago

The ~~Holo~~costco probably

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

This holocaust lives in Canada, you wouldn't know it

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

Maybe he meant that holocaust of 2pac they did at cochella.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 2 years ago (3 children)

That guy baffles me every time I read of him. Is he made of dumb or does he think everybody else is?

Nevermind. His voters don't care, so the latter it seems to be. Or both.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He appears to be mentally ill.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago

Yeah we know he's a Republican.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children)

I love the one where he's being interviewed and the question is about what you do for Thanksgiving or something, his opponent is like, "oh yeah just good times with the family, we always get Haagen Dazs ice cream for a special treat." Then Santos is asked and he's like, "oh yeah I love those good times with family and Haagen Dazs ice cream, such a special time every year."

Found the clip it's amazing

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

That reminds me about that special time of the year. We always get Ben & Jerry's, because it's clearly superior.

By the way, I'm right back, I need to... uh, check the freezer for Russians. Yeah, not ice cream, Russians.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oh there's no taste like Haagen Dazs for the holidays...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Sweatpants and Häagen-Dazs

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Clearly enough other people are or he wouldn’t be where he is.

He saw how Trump conned his way to the office of the president of the us and he did the same to get into congress.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

That sounds strange when I think about it, but Trump seems less insane. Dumb, cruel, immature, greedy, etc, sure. But less insane.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What did he do over the weekend? He hunted wolverines with a twelve gauge that were attacking his brother. What would you do in that situation? Gosh!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

Rubber-faced creep.
