As one of the (probably few) FFXIV players who actually has access to an Xbox Series X, it is a bit disappointing that there is no way to participate in the beta.

Hope the people who have an Xbox and are interested in FFXIV but didn't pick it up yet for any other platform enjoy the beta. All 10 of them.

Weird that you have to have a Gamepass subscription on top of the FF14 sub to play the game when it releases there.

Microsoft got their way in the end. Or maybe Square-Enix didn't care that much about the sub on top of the sub compared to the supposed requirement for Xbox only servers.

I hear they also required Xbox live when Phantasy Star Online was new, so maybe this isn’t a new thing.

Is that the case? It doesn't say you need anything other than gamepass.
