I just switched instances away from lemmy.world since it is still running 0.18
What the hell… shouldn’t Voyager wait until the biggest instance upgrades before pulling this? Maybe I’ll end up on another app and not return…
19.X has been released a few months ago now.
18.X and 19.X manage login differently, it makes sense to only support the current version

I see… that’s good then. Lemmy world posted in January that they’d be upgraded to 0.19 by the end of the month. It’s now a month later.

So what you're saying is that everyone using Voyager will effectively be temporarily defederated from .World? 🤔
Read the post. lemmy.world is planning to upgrade weeks before Voyager drops 0.18 support. Even still, Voyager states they will extend the deadline if lemmy.world doesn’t upgrade by March 18th.

No you just won’t be able to login. You can still federate with lemmy.world from other instances.
Good thing I have a couple alts for just such an occasion then heh 😁
