All the while Israel blocks land deliveries of aid.

Is this the same Hamas who walked away from the peace talks because Israel wouldn't agree to the destruction of Israel?

Don't for a second pretend Hamas gives a shit about their people.

Israel walked away from peace talks. Hamas already accepted a permanent ceasefire.

[–] WidowsFavoriteSon@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No they did not. They are continuing to refuse to let elderly and sick hostages go. Guess Hamas isn't finished raping them.

Israel literally didn't show up is what your link said. Do you read links before posting them?

Did the link point somewhere else before? That's not what I read.

Third paragraph

You mean the permanent ceasefire talks that Israel has repeatedly rejected for months because they prioritize the continued ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza over the release of the Hostages?

JIDF is in full force today.

Well shit, that's going to go over well

FFS could we have started without stepping on our own dick on this one

To be fair, the Israelis are basically going out of their way to make it effectively impossible to deliver aid through normal land routes. And Egypt is… well, doing Egypt things. This was the best short-notice “we need to do at least something, asap” option. It’s bad that this happened, but the airdrop was essentially the only way that it was realistically going to get done without involving the IDF.
