PS2 released in 2000. By 2002, Dreamcast already went under and Xbox and GameCube were about to release.

When home consoles used PCB cartridges, they were. That's because PCBs are expensive to make compared to optical discs.

Or using the old hardware like the PlayStation 3 BC for instance, they literally had the PS2 hardware in the PS3 to handle BC.

And the PS2 likewise literally had PS1 hardware to handle BC.

But if OP is posting a link to a legit article. That’s not an opinion, that’s facts. Downvoting facts makes them less likely to be seen by others.

Articles can be full of shit too. If someone posts an article from OANN, a news outlet that makes Fox News look like Reuters by comparison, would you not expect downvotes?
