For some reason I'm on Rogue Legacy 2, cause it's free with PS Plus Extra. Simple rogue lite, and right now life is kinds stressful so it's nice to pick up a game that I don't really need to think about. The mechanics are fun, and it's been a while since I've enjoyed a platformer like this. Also playing Humanity from PA Plus, and it's excellent. Almost done with it, and looking forward to trying out some of the user-made levels once I'm done with the story mode.

My husband and I got married earlier this year and figured we would plan a honeymoon later once wedding stress had passed. Now we've started planning and being in the Midwestern United States has us feeling frustrated about travel options that aren't planes, as we do not want to use them.

I discovered the Amtrak Rail Pass yesterday and was wondering if anyone had any experience (or knows of a blog, vlog, etc) where somebody talked about their experience using the pass to do a city-hopping sort of trip/honeymoon/vacation using Amtrak, or the pass specifically. Cursory research didn't show me anything, but I did see that the pass was on sale from $499 to $299 in January, so I am going to keep an eye out and see if they do that again. If so, it seems like a (relatively) cost-effective way to do a longer sort of trip, hitting 6 or so cities along the way.

Any perspectives welcome!

Same, Forbidden West had an absolutely banger soundtrack. Atmospheric and exciting, I put it on sometimes when I'm working to make the tasks feel more adventurous

You gotta follow some people, and also hashtags. Following hashtags made a huge difference populating my feed. There's no algorithm so you get to/have to choose what you want to see.

I also use the ice cubes app for mastodon, which has a trending option also for when I want to see what's gaining traction outside of my follows.

Plague Tale was fantastic, OP would probably really like them based on other games on the list.

Since it's browser-based, do you have a setting that auto refreshes your cookies, or are you using a privacy mode browser?

As a former Apollo user, using wefwef for lemmy has made adoption so easy. 10/10, it's basically an Apollo clone in-browser and has been working great. https://wefwef.app/
