I don't know why you're getting downvoted. We need to do all the things at the same time. We need corporations to change their ways (which means boycotts, protest, and likely sabotage), we need governments to do their share (which means voting, protests, and general civic engagement at all levels), and we need consumers to accept that their lifestyles will have to change.

To actually make those changes to consumer behavior, we need good public policy decisions and for corporations to not obstruct things. Without good governmental policy, consumers will not be able to make those switches. Without consumer behavior changes and good governmental policy, corporations will kill any chance at change.

(I do think the framing could be better, but I don't think blaming the working class is a good description of what's happening.)

Yeah, that's certainly one way you could phrase it, but given who the droppers were, this result pretty much checks out.

Honestly, not surprised. I wish we were meeting those goals, and its bad that we aren't, but the progress that's been made since they were set is noticeable, if not enough.

That's good. I really hope they have the social/political will to step it up like they need to.

Honestly, infertility is probably one of the best bad things for us rn...

AFAIK, it only applies to a relatively small section of Manhattan, in which traffic makes driving fairly difficult anyway, and most less well off people take public transit. I have heard people from new jersey who have to drive in complaining about it though. It does may be somewhat regressive.

What it is certainly not is whatever people on the right are trying to call it. I might be wrong about any of this though, I'm not a new yorker.

Yes, it would be such a shame, even more so if they also switched their search engine to something other than Google...

Dozens is at best a crowd, not even a horde, hardly an army...

Also, new here, how do yáll normally capture posts longer than a full screen, cause chopping them up into multiple screenshots looks bad to me.
