I agree with you that its an issue, but surely you see that its a part of human nature to experience some kind of validation when a person / group learns a lesson they could have not learned the hard way by listening or reasoning. The whole leopards eating face thing.

I dont think its a beautiful part of human psychology but I think its hard to overcome especially when emotions are already high.

I personally find it sad, but I believe just like in 2016 there's a bunch of aggressive social media manipulation going on and I see it as people being scammed into believing something in contradiction to their own self interest.. And much like an elderly person scammed into handing over money I find it really sad.

I hope those two start taking more young actually left leaning politicians (or even would-be politicians) under their wing and publicly endorsing them.

I appreciate you writing all this out. I experimented with moving over to usenet around black Friday sales and I found it pretty difficult. I tried a few free trials for indexers and couldn't get a popular movie to download and play. I eventually just torrented it, and that worked fine.
