That's because a lot of streaming stuff is made for 5.1 surround, and they don't care to provide the 2.0 (stereo) audio. Or sometimes it will have the 2.0 audio but you have to manually change it in your streaming app preference because they will let 5.1 as default. That makes it so that the sound of 5 speakers + 1 subwoofer now goes out of two speakers (or headphones). That's why the dialogues are inaudible and the actions scenes are so loud.

Ouhhh that's interesting. I love Horrified, it is one of my favourite game, but unfortunately I often end uo quaterbacking while I would prefer people sharing their thoughts. Will check this one out for sure, thanks for the suggestions !

I guess it is better to go for games that are cooperative and where everyone can contribute how they can without pressure. So I would suggest strategy games where everyone decides together what to do and all the players are united against the game, but in a way that it's harder to put the blame on someone if they fail to do what's expected of them (Ex : Hanabi). Here are some of my favourites that corresponds to this :

Pandemic

Horrified

Forbidden Desert

To their defense, I think they are really self aware. The campiness and the theatrics are all intentional. It almost has a musical (the broadway kind) aspect to it. 5FDP actually believe they are hard.

The maturity of a 13 years old, but it's listened by angry genXers and older millenials.

Not really cause then it would be "pommes de la terre".

For the record, some of us also use the word "patate" which is straight up the equivalent of potato.

Wow, the cognitive dissonance of calling your daughter selfish...

Oh totally not, but that's my point. If you are going to exploit those people, at least treat them with dignity before they go in front of the camera. Even Jerry Springer had at least the decency to pay for the flight, the hotel, the limo... before treating his guests like monkeys for his show. Not that it would excuse it, but it would appear a tad more humane.
