If you want to talk to real people you've got to go out in the real world.
Volunteer for something. Animal shelters and community theaters always need extra hands.
You spend all day waiting for someone to stick a knife in your back and everyone you talk to is trying to play you.
You can be great at one thing and an idiot at everything else.

Back in the IWW days, the Unions would have their own security teams patrolling any protest. There'd always be someone, paid or otherwise, who'd love a chance to throw a rock at a cop.
