As someone that's lived on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, I would say it's more like see if the water is toxic before you eat the fish. Assuming the fish must be good is asking for problems but it sounds like you just might enjoy diarrhea.

Several points.

Two, like I give a fuck if reality hurts their feelings, but I'm not being elitist favoring my side. Anyone falling for the false dichotomy doesn't understand reality to the point they could form opinions that matter. The majority of people rely on received opinions and specious reasoning for almost everything because actual consistent coherent thought is a learned still.

Three, I'm being objective and not judgemental, hence the links. There's hard data everyone is just fucking dumber largely due to Republican efforts to sabotage education being met half way by Democrats.

And four, look at the link about gerrymandering. They spent decades literally cheating. Capping the house at 435 in 191X also massively empowered conservatives. Then you have to look into the end of times accelerationists and evangelical dominionists... Lots of cheating, sabotaging education, and obvious racism in law enforcement ignored.

Five, the term right wing comes from the French parliament that wanted to keep the monarchy in power. The founding fathers were college educated aristocracy that wouldn't have wanted white trash voting or owning guns (federalist paper... 27... Or 29?) and yet conservatives worship them.

The entire ecosystem is full of gullible assholes in authoritarian power structures where independent thought is punished.

Ask what every department wants. Say it's too expensive. Get the sales team exactly what they want but then realize it does nothing for any other department. It's not news yet it's the most popular "news" network on television. Despite poling showing people that watch it are less informed than people that watch no news at all, nothing has been done specifically because it's serving it's intended role: misinforming the gullible and setting a lower bar for MSNBC and CNN to be seen as real news instead of telling you how to feel about what you're told about.

Being selectively informed by a media outlet isn't the same thing as factual journalism.

Viet Nam was very unpopular directly due to front line coverage we don't really get anymore as a result of Reagan nuking the fairness doctrine and birthing Fox News to drag all other media right filing it with ads and misinformation.

Democrats are not left because "left" starts at identifying capitalism as a net bad rather than net good.

Empathy and intelligence are good proxies for political orientation.

The smarter and/or more empathic people are the more left they tend to skew.

Objectively, you sound ignorant and wholly self centered but still not self interested to the point you need other people to tell you your views because you haven't thought about them yourself. At this point, your opinion is whatever people tell you to make it.

But if you're not a straight white man or a tradfem you're actively disservicing yourself by not understanding what being politically ignorant has on literally every facet of your existence from the water you drink to your validity as an autonomous individual.

Then even if you are a straight white man, racism is largely a misdirection for class warfare via wage theft, wage suppression, and inflation.
