huh? Where did I say pirates are morally superior? I meant that people, in general, like to think of themselfs as good and so avoid doing things they think are bad. I don't see where I might have implied what things are good/bad.

People don't support things and people they think are wrong, what a wild concept

oh, that would make sense 😅

Did you mean to comment this somewhere else? Or am I just not getting something?

Are you from the USA? Anyway, I put that "Try to name one that is not far-right" there for a reason (Hint: You are right and it is a religious and cultural symbol). If you want to learn more about the hakenkrauz and why it is a hate symbol in the west, read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika make some notes idk I can't be bothered right now

Exercise for the reader: The above user states that, in their belief, the swastika should no longer be considered a hate symbol because of the state of Israel's genocide on Palestinians.

  1. What groups could benefit if that were to happen? Try to name one that is not far-right.
  2. Is the user's statement valid? Consider the ethnic cleansing during the Yugoslav civil war (or other known to you conflicts where ethnic cleansing has occurred, on multiple sides, by multiple sides).
  3. The USA-based hate group 'KKK,' known for brutal attacks and murder of Black people, has been under attack from many other groups since its inception. One such group is the, also USA-based, 'Black Panthers.' Would attacks of the 'Black Panthers' on the 'KKK' make the above user consider the 'KKK' no longer a hate group?

Bonus question: The Jews were not the only victims of the Holocaust; name at least one other ethnic group and one social group that were also victims. Why hasn't the user considered them in the statement? What could be the user's opinion about the groups?
