Do these servers get attacked and taken down like it sometimes happens with trackers?

I've seen them in the mountains or more wild areas multiple times, both in eastern and western Europe. You have to be outside during the night so most likely camping.
The biggest forum style ones are https://forocoches.com/foro/forumdisplay.php?f=2 & https://www.meneame.net/ But also algorithm driven ones like Instagram and tiktok.
Spain had smaller presence on Reddit as well. They tend to keep to other spanish speaking forums, often shared with Latin America.
Basically because there are so many Spanish speakers in the world, spaniards don't even bother to learn English or interact with the broader internet.
It took 10 years to meet anyone that used Reddit. I assume it's gonna take another 10 to meet anyone on this platform.
Honestly, joining a community just for the type of content they have or what they filter is useless. Best approach for me is to have access to everything and then filter what you don't like by yourself.

I used it until recently thinking the same, but it just became too broken for me. I'm on thunder now and I got it to work exactly the way I used sync and everything seems to actually be working.
My mistake then. It flew completely over my head.
I specifically remember looking up tables of who defederates from who and what instances allow NSFW or downvoting because this was an issue among some of the top instances back then.
I ended up making 4 different accounts over 2 months until I landed on a server I'm happy with. That will never be acceptable to any normal user.
Every time someone brings up these issues, people here downplay them like you are doing it right now and nothing is ever done about it.
My only question is why it took so long to get here?
