Objects in motion tend to stay in motion.

Objects at rest tend to stay at rest.

IDK if the double pun was intended, but a FLOPS is a measurement of how many (floating point) operations can a computer make per second

I've seen this thing some time ago, but never got to testing https://lemmy.world/post/20667463

Havel monster in Dark Souls series?

I've tried him in DS2 and it didn't look too well for me, but I prefer glass cannon weapon buffers.

- How many times should I repeat it in a day? 10? 20?

- What? No. One is enough.

I wonder what'll happen when they raid a house belonging to one of the trigger-happy gun collectors

Heh, I remember seeing one with Putin face something like 10 years back

Not the other way? You'd feel like you got there in an instant, while people on Earth needed to wait years?

I've mostly watched anime for the past two years and got a craving for a book.

I'm mostly watching comedy and battle shounen, but I'm also enjoying Orb: On the Movements of the Earth this season. The last series I've been reading is Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive (don't worry, I know about Mistborn, I'll get into it during holidays).

Horror bores me, and I dislike romance in general. I can tolerate it as a side plot, but will cringe anyway. And if I see a love triangle or the MC going on and on about the butterflies in their stomach...

It would be nice to see a hard system world mid or post-industrial revolution, but it's not a must. I also prefer a more masculine PoV, because I'm more used to it.

I'm currently thinking about getting The Powder Mage trilogy or Discworld, but I've been out of the loop for so long (if you consider regular visits at the library as being in the loop) that I want to see if I'm missing something more up my alley.

Originally I wanted to get Dungeon Crawler Carl, but it's not translated, so I'll wait. I've tried reading a book in English, forgot the title, but I had to drop it because it was too mentally demanding for me.

Explanation:

Mealy and Moore machines change their states every clock cycle.

In the case of Moore machine, the state determines the output, so it's easy to model a D flip-flop with it, where you have two states, one outputting 0, one outputting 1, and those switch based on what was the input during active clock edge.

In the case of Mealy machine, the output can change as the input changes. By an easy translation from Moore's machine D flip-flop, you can end up with one state that passes forward the input - again, constantly updating the output - without changing it, which means that you end up with, basically, a wire.

I've had to make it the moment I saw ghosts aren't immune to being stunned, and once I was done, I've decided to share, 'cause why not.

Transcription: Four panel comic. First panes shows a ghost saying "They finally went to sleep. It's time to strike." while phasing into the material plane, indicated by turning from green to purple. In second panel the ghost attacks someone on the ground with its claws, causing them to yell "YEOUCH!". Third panel shows that it was a monk, and they perform a stunning strike on the ghost. Both silhouettes are grey on this panel. On fourth panel the ghost is stunned and surrounded by grey silhouettes of a barbarian with an axe, rogue preparing to backstab, and a caster casting fireball.

Everything worked fine until today, updated the system yesterday. Cursor works, I can start the reboot and such, but not app will open, no terminal command can be performed, and the shutdown doesn't finish after 30 minutes, meaning I have to perform a SysRq reboot to actually do something. Will check Discord and VSCode in a second, also try to apt update and post findings in an edit. Worst case I can wait for an update using dual-booted windows.

Edit: Apparently the problem fixed itself - none of the apps crashed, even when I went back to the previous settings. I've booted into Windows to write this post which might've helped (instead of breaking things the usual way), apt didn't do anything, but there were 2 runtime updates on Pop shop which I've installed prior to starting Firefox. Anyway, one of them can help if any of you are unfortunate enough to have the same problem.

Genre: technical deathcore with influences of symphonic death metal

I've chosen this song, because it has more clean parts than most of the others. If you don't mind harsh vocals, I'd recommend listening to Chthonic Odyssey.

They may be pretty well known, but they're not signed to any label, so I consider them indie.
