and we love (/s) what he did to sunny CA slashing property taxes by slashing the public education budget helping lead to a continuing decline in our education system.

Yes, however there are many people who are homeless because they are unable to "properly" function in society due to untreated mental illnesses, part of Reagan's budget cuts reduced public health funding, shuttering public mental health facilities. Granted, some had horrendous conditions which has a lasting reputation for "Insane asylums".

One of the problems is many of our shipbuilding ports are shuttered, right, it's not as much a matter of competition, but they just dont make ships? Putting fines, not to the registered owner, or port of origin but orgin of manufacture for a ship? Seems an absolute nightmare to implement, without alot of use. Where would the money go? Obviously it wouldn't be used to reopen and run U.S. shipbuilders, so it's just a money grab for trump to embezzle more money or to piss off more people for no good reason.

I suppose emphasis on what I believe it stands for. The U.S.'s grey history date back to the pilgrims, but at times the people have rallied to fight agianst tyranny and I believe we can and will do so agian. I want to believe this country stands for freedom and stands agianst tyranny, and that we, the people will fight for this.

So efficient its making the army blush, makes the "3 people to sledgehammer a hdd, look, even out of context, the pinnacle of efficiency"

I am still willing to give my life for what I believe this country stands for. This country stands, and right now those values are st odds with some people and policy's within this countrys government, and part of what this country stands for is standing agianst tyranny, agianst threats, foreign and domestic. No person is above this cardinal rule. We usurped tyrannical rule once before, we will surely do so agian.

Context; They fell in love at first sight and he asked to be her boyfriend, she said no, she would marry him, when she's old enough.

He doesn't see her agian until she shows up at his door ready to move in and get married.

iirc the the creative who made the movie is quoted "I didn't finish the book, it was too boring"

Yes, the books is heavy on the facisism, so a true movie adaptation that isn't going the route of satirical parody wouldn't read so well, and nowadays it might be a little to close to reality.

But Helldivers is based on Starship troopers the movie not the book but the new Starship troppers movie will be based not on the movie, so, the book?

The book and the movie are wildy different, the movie was made by someone that didn't bother reading the full book so just winged the story and made his own kida thing.

The stuff on yahoo, seems like ai slop, it keeps repeating the same thing, maybe that's how the yahoo aggregate works idk, im not familiar with it. I was not attacking the Washington post op, I said whats linked, the yahoo thing feels like what id expect from an ai generated article and the Washington post opinion piece didn't seem to read so much about "gays in concentration camp" but that trump seems to (which I agree with) want to change army culture to a more "Masculine strength" (Like China, russia and NK) where its not about the effectiveness or such of the military but the "strength" of its individual soldiers.

It seems more pointed to trump trying to make his own dictator army, like stalin, or hitler, with the emphasis people seemed to give on the image, I expected more commentary on "how the army should be used to control undesirables" or something, which Im sure trump wants,

but what I read was about trump trying to copy the ultra masculine face of armies in NK or Russia but instead of any discussion or that, everyone it talking about the image, like trump was smart enough to be liking this for the image and not him agreeing "Ya ya, I want army to be stronk"
