Oh yeah, I remember now. It wasn't registering the IP. But yeah there should be a way, I was just having technical issues with it.

I didn't see a way to set it up on Java without running a local server. Is there? I prefer Java, but it seemed like a lot of hours of work to get a server set up.

They're made specifically to deal with high electromagnetic flux, so it definitely wouldn't hurt them long term. Best bet would be something higher frequency to mess with the computers.

That's a nice collection!

It's a self reported survey.

Our happiness ranking is based on a single life evaluation question called the Cantril Ladder:

Please imagine a ladder with steps numbered from 0 at the bottom to 10 at the top. The top of the ladder represents the best possible life for you and the bottom of the ladder represents the worst possible life for you. On which step of the ladder would you say you personally feel you stand at this time?

This question is both democratic and universal. Rather than constructing an index from multiple metrics, the Cantril Ladder empowers people to make their own judgements about what matters most, regardless of their culture and background.

The question does not mention concepts like happiness, wellbeing, or satisfaction, so it can be easily translated and understood in many different languages.

Looks like the US is 24 out of 147. It'd be interesting to see the correlation with median income, I'd bet the US is even more behind where a nation of it's wealth would tend to be be.

Nuke type EMPs are a threat to very long wires, like miles long ones used to transmit power. The blast causes a ripple in the earths magnetic field that induces current over huge distances. But I don't know what a more handheld device would affect.

He can't legally cease funding something Congress has funded, so let's hope the courts uphold that and give a restraining order.

Tech ingredients has some interesting videos on microwave crowd control weapons, and how to defeat them. It's mostly metal mesh in your cloths or a shield.

Moscow repeated that any settlement must address “the root causes of the crisis”

Agreed, we need to get rid of Putin, the root cause.

Went on a hike, they loved the sticks, so many to chose from!

For the 100th anniversary in 1954, Sylvania set this picture up with thousands of flash bulbs.

Apparently the fireworks were added in post.

So many Doritos to choose from.

Interesting plane spotted over Chengdu, looks like a side by side seated trijet.

Ian Davis has been working since he lost his fingers to design and build a mechanical hand. He's now looking for other amputees to help him test the design. It's a really cool project, I love following his progress!

Is there a way to get villagers with separated arms on bedrock? Would I need to write my own addon? I don't see anything built for that currently.

My end goal would be to get villagers to look like dwarfs, like this resource pack.

Tin in solder or some other meals can form spiky crystals when under stress. These whiskers can form short circuits if not properly insulated or not alloyed with other metals.

Apparently reddits nuclear subs are anti nuclear now, as they won't let this video be posted.

Livestream with more info about Kyle Hill videos beginning banned from nuclear subreddits. Discussion starts at about 17min in. https://www.youtube.com/live/LF-AMZYrLYs

Scott Manley video, looks like the hold down claps may have ripped the bottom off the booster, allowing it to take off.

Stunning short film. Seems scarily plausible, we won't lose control of AI, the people in change just won't care enough to control it.

Just make sure to return them when you're done! Maybe even add a new one if you find one.

The one I used was very nice. Has a nice heft all the way down, and was very straight.
