Sounds like the synopsis of The Forever Winter. Great setting for that game.

Oof, your loss mate. Real shame.

Oh, neat. I wasn't aware of that and never thought about it even in that way. I resorted to gifs if given the chance becuase it was way easier for me to mess up the encoding and other stuff of the video, resulting in way bigger file sizes than necessary. I guess it's worth investing a bit more time in that lol.

Banamon.

Sounds like a Digimon.

Why would you convert gifs to video to optimize storage space? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

You're wearing toe socks already so that ship has sailed.

Connect for Lemmy. I like the simpler ways.

Not really. It depends on the game and also the individual. About 50/50 I suppose. Games like Warframe, Skyrim, Civ or generally competitive games tend to be the ones where you'd find more people with quadruple digits of playtime rather than let's say more narrowed down single player experiences (without mod support) though there are some cases for those too ofc.

I've been wondering, since I'm on lemmy.world, whether there is a way to see which instances were defederated and I had no way of knowing even existed from here.

Another question I have is that the dude who replied just now. I could see his comment in my inbox but when opening the thread it's empty (even though it says it has one comment). This also happens with other threads.

I'm on Connect btw.
