As of right now, Revolt does not feature any federation and it is not in our feature roadmap.

However, this does not necessarily mean federation is off the table, possible avenues are:

  • Implement our own federation protocol
  • Implement a promising up and coming federation protocol, polyproto
  • Implement the Matrix protocol (unlikely, obtuse and unstable)
  • Implement the XMPP protocol (battle-tested and stable)

Any federation that is implemented MUST exercise caution in:

  • Preventing spam and abuse: moderators should be able to block malicious actors
  • Protecting user data: users should be able to redact all of their information and messages

I like the Prusa mini. Good entry level printer. Not cheap with ~500€. But it is also easy to repair and upgrade compared to the MK3/4. The Bowden system means slower print speed but also easy repair. I upgraded mine with the Bondtech Gears. I don’t know if it fits on your list. Besides that it is small and one of the cheapest Prusa Printers, I see no benefit. (I have it because it fits in my room with the enclosure, now the CoreOne would be technically better but much more expensive)

I use both. I have NextDNS for mobile and PiHole for the local Intranet. A VPN to the home network for DNS did not work well enough for me.

Using Mullvad Browser + Mullvad VPN could mitigate this a little bit. Because if you use it as intended (don’t modify Mullvad browser after installation) , all Mullvad users would have the same browser fingerprint and IPs from the same pool.

I hope it becomes usable. If they hold there promise. Linux Wayland apps could be run through emulation layer, FreeBSD apps would run native and many MacOS apps should work out of the box.

https://ravynos.com/ Switch to MacOS without Apple when it is finally released.

Don’t forget that it also helps to keep it balanced with the other bucket.

AFAIK the AppStore versions are often Sandboxed and have automatic update through the AppStore. I am not sure if they are better or more secure regarding the permissions API.

Some apps like GoodNotes have a document scanner to format pictures of rectangular objects. This could possibly work.

Are there any other apps that have animated or changing icons? I only know the Apple ones , calendar and clock.

I have a MacBook Pro M2 (Touchbar) and since I have it, on every MacOS version, I couldn’t share my LAN connection over WiFi. I use a Thunderbolt 3 Dock but also tried a direct USB-C to LAN adapter.

When I enable Internet sharing and configure it with PSK wpa2/3 and a SSID, it opens a Hotspot with default values and without PSK. Also you can’t connect to it. Does anyone have the same problem?
