Is grape the default anywhere other than the USA? I don't think I've ever seen grape jam (jelly) for sale in Australia.

Growing up the default was always strawberry.

I only eat bread rarely now. But if I was doing this it would be sour dough, Pics peanut butter and Schwartau Extra sour cherry jam.

In addition to what slazer said, in Australia once you earn over a certain amount you get hit with an extra tax if you don't take out private health. The conservative coalition brought that in a long time ago because their donor mates in private health asked them to ruin our public health care and this was their first step towards that.

I still have private cover as it seems like the least bad option even though it pisses me off. I guess that's the point.

Since my work "upgraded" to windows 11 the task bar is the bane of my existence.

We all run a laptop docked with two monitors. In windows 10 I would set a monitor as primary, drag the task bar to the laptop screen. That would result in the most real estate for the software I use with out clutter.

Can't fucking do this is 11. It's either primary or all monitors for task bar. Someone suggested auto hide the task bar. Holy shit even that has been fucking ruined in 11. It turns off randomly and frequently. Plus notifications seem to over ride the hiding.

Surprised that the religious right haven't put them in their sites.

Still yet to find anything that comes close to the search brilliance of the winamp media library.

I used to work for a company that agreed with you, well at least some clown in management did. Even though it was an Australian company, at least part of the problem was we had an office in Manila, and they speak "American English" which seemed to include the awful date system too. We dealt with a lot of files being issued to clients / received from vendors etc. Because the "official" system used those fucked up dates, everyone ran their own secondary sets of data folders in / out with everything done in ISO dates so you could actually sort it properly.

Can you please make a government internet ID, and connect that to your social media instead?

That way social media companies will know who you really are, and the govt will be able to know what social media accounts are yours. It's even better that way.

Ha. Better from Labor? When it comes to digital rights they are terrible just like the liberal party.

Labor rubber stamped the libs meta data retention and secret software backdoors legislation.

This one is up there with the 2009 Krudd / Conroy clean feed.

Pipepipe share just gives YouTube.com links. Like this:

Is there tracking in that URL?

It's been very easy. Although I will say my use case is a 9km urban commute. Any issues I can jump on a train to the local bike shop.

Changing a rear tyre on a split frame in the middle of no where would be beyond me.

I'm sure if we keep voting for the Libor and Laberal parties they will eventually fix it right?

Looks like we are finally working towards a fuel efficiency standard.

Will be interesting to see what the final details are, especially the year at which manufacturers have to hit zero emissions, and if it's going to be a linear change to get there or otherwise.

No doubt legacy parts of the industry will be busy lobbying for their own interests instead of the planet's.

Recently made the switch to Graphene and am trying to get my main email away from outlook.com

What's everyone using for calendar event invites?

I have a mixture of some events that only I need to see, but others I send and receive invites to people using gmail, outlook etc.

Currently trying out free Proton, but it's a bit limited. For example if I make a recurring event there seems to be no way to edit or remove a single recurrence. Also would like to be able to use say simple calendar widgets with it. Edit, also discovered that invites sent from gmail to proton simply don't arrive.

Happy for a paid service provided I'm not treated as a product for advertisers to market to.
