America would probably launch a land invasion of Australia before they ever let Pine Gap go. Previous attempts were met with harsh penalties from the US.

I'm really not huge on John Wick's attempt at being a cinematic universe. I think we've basically seen everything that concept is going to show us. Keen to see Norman Reedus in an action movie like this at least.

This sounds like something I put on my resume to get a coding job, but I'm not actually a coder.

It'd work, too.

Trump is seriously blurring the line between himself and Lex Luthor more and more by the day. Trump was always a very whacky character, but threats to steal like, Canada, or the real estate of Greenland just really completes the picture.

imagine the logistical nightmare of tracking, arresting and executing entire families depending on the causality reports you get back from the conflict. somehow I don't believe one of the poorest nations on Earth is actually investing all that much time and money into the 'kill-their-families' benefit for soldiers.

steam is a monopoly almost entirely on merit, they've done little to no market manipulation to get into this position. the solution is to encourage competitors to offer similar features and not force steam to bend over backwards allowing game transfers or what have you. game transfers which people largely won't utilize because they're already no leaving steam, giving them additional options to leave steam won't do anything.

It feels very mask off for the American ~~oligarchs~~ 'wealthy elite' to be praising the Russian oligarchs.

I just finished the Jakarta Method and it left me genuinely dismayed. Not like, astounded with how horrible it all was (I knew it was going to be horrible), but more, it made me put the book down and sit with my feelings of dismay. A little bit nauseous, unsettled, feeling a loss of hope for a lot of ideals I hold.

What a horrible period of history, in a century absolutely full of horrible periods.
