Off-topic, but wow. That cookie permission pop-up is pure cancer.

I figured Gen Z is the lemon in this case.

So, it took a lot of effort, but I cut it down quite a bit to what I think are the most important parts.

I related to this on a visceral level. Brevity is hard.

There it is. Was wondering if there was any relation, to the point where I had half a mind to look it up myself. Thanks for saving me the trouble.

It's nepotism and cronyism all the way down.

It's easier to bamboozle someone than to convince them they've been bamboozled.

I think you just described "business" in general.

They're in cahoots with the frogs.

Agreed on like 90% of your takes. The "real"-feeling near-future sci-fi was excellent. And the thought put towards the physics was very much appreciated. Where we diverge a bit is on the romance track. I didn't have an issue with the direction, and was actively rooting for them. Their affection felt organic and natural. But as you said, it derailed a bit and, combined with career choices, left me disappointed at the very end. But the good was so freaking good.

I've had a hankering to re-watch lately. I've got the DVDs, and they will do in a pinch, but it's hard to go back to SD anymore. Last I checked the show was in rights purgatory, with no discs in print or a way to stream it. Maybe I'll finally get around to reading the manga.

Me, upon seeing the response: Hahahaha! Man that was fast. Dude always has the perfect reply ready.

5 minutes later: tries to squint through Klingon makeup 🤔

One trip to IMDB and Memory Alpha later: ...holy shit.

The next day: I should post a reply.

Now: We're in now now.

Just finished watching the first episode. It's basically a commercial for the sketchy real-life metaverse project, but that was kind of assumed going in. (Build Fighters wasn't hurt in the least by being a Gunpla commercial.) The animation looks great, as do the new characters. The Divers team seems aged down(?!?) from their initial appearance, which is weird because of how young they were to begin with. The suits are pretty standard for Build, doubly so since a lot of them are based off of legacy Build designs. Looking forward to a better look at the antagonist suit from the post credits scene.

In all, it's about what I've come to expect from Build. Let's see where it goes. If anyone has any thoughts or impressions, I'd love to hear them.

Also: AloHaro is life. That is all.

I was NOT expecting that. It's enormous. And gives me hope for a future standard Wodom (from Turn A, not the mini one from Build Divers). Link is to BBTS because that's where I caught the news. I don't see anything on Gundam.Info yet.

Edit: apparently this was announced last week and I'm blind

Not sure if any of it is new. Would love to get that MG Marasai but I know it's just going to sit in the backlog. Same with that awesomely audacious Age Magnum.

Edit: looks like kbin is still having federation issues, post isn't showing up on the host instance.

It's not often that PB actually has something listed that's in stock. Scrolling through, looks like there's both HG Qubeleys along with the Strike Dagger and option parts set if you want something to make the shipping charge (flat $10) sting less.

Even if you're not a fan of his review style (save some superlatives for the rest of us dude), the intro is worth watching. I was not expecting that.

What the hell happened to "put stuff up in batches once or twice a month"? This one kit at a time nonsense is irritating.

A Philadelphia judge on Tuesday dismissed all charges against police officer Mark Dial, ruling that prosecutors had not presented evidence that he had committed a crime.

And another one gets off scot free.

Apologies if you get a paywall, most of the time the Inquirer gives x free articles.
