on single player stuff I use cheat engine to skip the grind any time it's impacting the fun.

I rarely play only online or multi player because no pause is not compatible with kids

yeah, sometimes it's still not enough

I will say 95% of the time I agree with this statement. self propagating meetings are the bane of my existence.

but every now and then you just get someone that cannot understand you and every now and then after four or five emails or ten IMs I will just call somebody up and talk to them for 5 minutes and it's done.

for most people totally unnecessary but you don't always get to choose the people you work with and their level of reading comprehension.

I've played it way more but actually totally agree. I beat all the difficulties and unlocked probably 80% of content, but I've probably got less than 50 hours in it.

sts getting a phone version created like an entire month for me where I didn't play anything else lol. idk how many sts runs I've done but I'm scared to look

eh, I'm hiring for my team right now and I have zero problem with these questions.

I tend to bring similar things up myself at the end of the interview if the candidate doesn't ask just because I don't like wasting time down the line.

we shouldn't make people jump through a bunch of hoops to see if they fit the job itself without being willing to consider that they might not want to waste time on a work environment that won't fit for them even if they could do the job.

I find it varies a bit to bit based on the microwave, but on average I get the most success by putting the plate in the middle of the microwave and arranging the food in a "donut" on the plate, it seems like the outsides of the plate if it's in the middle do the best, probably because they get more rotation than the center.

yeah, it's decent with the right modes, though I tend to use megaraid / arcconf / etc for things behind a card

so I've got a pixel 6A and I really like the device itself, but the last several months of updates have just screwed it up over and over again.

first I lost my fingerprint sensor and it still hasn't been fixed with any of the updates. now with one of the more recent beta updates I have seen intermittent cell service issues in areas where I never used to have service issues.

I've been considering switching over to graphene for a while now but wanted some feedback on how that works when I'm not really trying to disconnect from the rest of Google services.

I use family link for my kids tablets, I use Google pay I use Gmail etc.

Will I have any issues if I switch using the same Google services?

also I use Nova launcher, and it would be convenient if I could save that profile and import it, assuming Nova works just fine on graphene as well?

Had to share with somebody lol.

Mostly just doing old ps1 games for now. Gotta say i'm incredibly impressed with how out of the box things just work. I had to do a couple extra driver installs (steam controller) but it even had those right in the advanced menu.

I will say something i've noticed is that every now and then emulationstation just hangs and i can't get anything to respond in any way on controller or keyboard. have to yank power when it happens. Looks like last entry in messages pre-reboot is about the steam controller though so i may just blame that and switch it out.

Hilariously figuring out conversion of gameshark cheats to retroarchs PCSX-ReARMed was harder than everything else combined.

Finally had to just manually find one of the values i cared about to see what was missing (apparently all the xenogears cheats use 'cheat##_address_bit_position = "255"' instead of 0, who knew...)

not sure if @eadmaster is on lemmy too but i nabbed their script from an older reddit post that pointed at https://github.com/eadmaster/dotfiles/blob/main/bin/chtnative2retroarch.py and added a couple line change for bit position which got it all sorted.

seems like it works as a shit post

I'm on Android 13 not 14 and I've seen reports a few months ago about this happening for 14.

I've got no option to update or roll back and all fingerprint related settings and the fingerprint functionality have just vanished as if it's not being detected at all.

very frustrating trying to remember passwords for all sorts of apps that expect biometric login.

anyone else see this or have a fix for it?

especially with all of the connectivity errors as things ramp up, it is very frustrating to write out a long post and then lose it when you submit it because you get some random error and have to try and remember everything you just said.

when posting or commenting you should stay and edit mode after hitting, submit until you get the confirmation of a successful post.

popping up which specific error you're getting is already happening and will be very helpful if things need to be edited as well.
