Very sad to hear, I loved seeing Timelord jumping like crazy and wreaking havoc on defense. But his injury history is precisely why Boston made him available
Overpay, ofc, but then again, the real question here is - what other options did the Celtics have ? Which trade was actually doable, for a package of equal value in return ?
same for me, I was looking for some info about this....
To their credit, their first move was about Brogdon. Once that deal fell apart, it looks like Brad panicked a little....beacuse yes, Smart brings a lot to the table, stats only tell a part of it....letting him go it's a huge price to pay for KP.
On a related note, if Smart is gone this will mean a huge boost for Pritchard playing time, which may not be a bad thing -I sorta like him and think he's underappreciated. He's no Smart ofc.
In a vacuum....not a huge fan of this. Celtics need a big, true - but one who can stay on the floor, and Porzingis, while a good player overall, is far from being that
Love him or hate him, can't deny he's part of NFL history already. I can see teams interested in hiring him as HC - old and everything, but he's still freaking BB, after all, a defensive genius - but not let him work as a GM anymore. Who knows if he's willing to accept these conditions now.
