What, you don't like to install the Web Store through a separate extension crx download, mess around in the settings, and enable dev mode? Wait til you hear what you have to do to get DRM working (Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, etc). Hint: It's a separate zipped download of Widevine that you have to extract deep in the AppData folder, assuming you're on Windows.
While I agree with this, it's kind of a pain in the ass if you use extensions. You have to roundabout install the Web Store through a crx download, tinkering in the settings and enabling dev mode, then use that extension to install other extensions. And may the cosmos grant you mercy if you need to use DRM for Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, etc, and have to download the Widevine DRM stuff separately and unzip it deep in the AppData folder.
It's not impossible, but I guess I'm just saying that this probably isn't going to be the answer for the everyday, average person.
Same. But add not having anything able to efficiently run it at a satisfactory level at the moment.

I actually came here to make a post and saw this one. I signed up maybe a week or two ago at this point (I don't remember the exact day now). I went to sign in to start using the account this morning on Jerboa and was hit with a "please verify account" message (nothing on web). I thought I was tripping, but I don't recall seeing an email - and if I did, it's long gone now. How would I go about verifying? Same username as this, but on your instance. Thanks!

Zooming was just added for video, so I wonder if something inadvertantly broke with picture zoom in the process.

In the settings for Connect, toward the bottom, see if "Volume buttons for comment navigation" is ticked on. Try turning it off, if so.
I've made edits and deletes, and as far as I can tell, once the instances sync up, those edits/deletes are synced as well - I have noticed a delay, but it usually kicks in like overnight (for example) when I make a change using my account on lemm.ee for my account on lemmy.world to see it, etc.
A decade old gaming PC (that was mid-tier at best back then), a PS5 that's not technically mine, a Switch, and an OG Xbox One. Tell me about it. π
