The problem with individual user blocks is that if someone submits enough of the links in a community, blocking them means blocking most stories and discussions so you can't really read or participate in the community without leaving them unblocked.

Yeah, the whole no public charges thing I think all countries have will lead to a lot of people with disabilities dying when Medicaid is cut off, if not a repeat of Aktion T4 in the USA. I don't see a good future for anyone disabled in the USA. The situation is grim, at best.

Mastodon handles lemmy communities a bit strangely, doesn't it? (lemmy.world)

I know that communities don't translate well to Mastodon, I just find it a little odd how it seems to be a firehose of all comments in a community when viewed in Mastodon. I was expecting it to "repost" posts submitted to the community and have comments in the replies to those posts. Just something odd I was thinking about.
